4 New Private Scandal Titles - Private Scandal Fanzine Issue 7, The Winkers, U.D.A, and The ノーフューチャーズ

I'll release 4 new titles in April, keep an eye out in the Private Scandal shop for when they're available to order.

Private Scandal Fanzine Issue 7

The latest issue of Private Scandal fanzine focuses on the usual snotty punk rock! This time, we're looking at the post-Swankys Kyushu Punk scene, we take a detour in the 90's Nagoya "Drunk With Party" scene, and to top it off, Invader Boy Shinobu (ex.Hysteric Concert) contributes a live report from the frontline of the Chiba Punk scene.

Contents:

• The Very Best of Unknown Swankers - a look at the post-Swankys Kyushu Punk scene and the obscure bands that were part of it.
• An interview with Hysteric Mamma - an unknown Kyushu Punk band, heavily inspired by Last Child.
• An interview with The Winkers - another forgotten Kyushu Punk band from the post-Swankys era, their leader, Kou, tells us all about this forgotten band, plus all about his more recent projects: Tail and Jubilee.
• An interview with The Scantys - this 90's Nagoya Punk Rock band returned last year and vocalist, Naoki, tells us all about their history and future plans.
• An interview with Kick The Bollocks - No.6's (CHAOSCHANNEL) late 90's punk rock band. Guitarist, Kenta, tells us about how the band formed, No.6's creative process and more.
• A Live report from Chiba Look - Invader Boy Shinobu contributes a live report of the "Let's Do The Time Warp Again" gig that t ook place in January at Chiba Look with Visible Fucker, U.D.A, the Mr, The Scantys, and NOT. Features photos by Togashi (ex.the C&C).

The Winkers - The Winkers CD (PSCDR040)

To complement the release of Private Scandal issue 7, we're reissuing The Winkers demo tape on CD! It wouldn't be fair to tease you with these unknown bands and not give you a taste, would it?

The Winkers were formed in 1988 in Fukuoka, Kyushu. Inspired by the Pistols, as well as their fellow Fukuokans (is that a word?) The Swankys, they hit the Kyushu scene and were quickly immersed in the post-Swankys scene along with their contemporaries Last Child, Escalaters, Slicks, The Donkeys, and more.

They left us this one demo tape, recorded at Studio Rock Jam, the same studio where The Donkeys recorded their legendary "Serve You Right" tape, it features 7 tracks of that classic Kyushu Punk Rock sound.

Fans of The Swankys, Lydia Cats, Last Child, etc take note!

U.D.A - Brand New Virgin Asshole CD (PSCDR041)

The latest release from Chiba's U.D.A! If you've been following the label for a while, you'll no doubt be aware of U.D.A, led by former MARGAReTS frontman, Uda, they take that classic snotty Chiba Punk sound, add a thick layer of noise punk.

It's been a few years since their last release, but they've been busy writing new material, and working on this mini album. This is the 4th U.D.A release on the label and it's some of their best material!

Sleeve by Kengo (the C&C).

The ノーフューチャーズ (The No Futures) / U.D.A - 本当の偽物 This Is Fool's Gold CD (PSCDR042)

What a treat! Saitama's The ノーフューチャーズ (The No Futures) vs. Chiba's U.D.A!

The No Futures play snotty '77 punk rock and U.D.A play noisy punk rock, it's a headache-inducing match made in heaven!

Sleeve by Kengo (the C&C).

You can hear a track from each CD on the Private Scandal YouTube channel... I'm also still looking for a free or at least cheap online PDF viewer, I was using Issuu but the prices are just crazy, so if you know of something similar that's reasonable, please let me know as I would like to upload all of the back issues of the zine for everybody to read.

Thanks!
