To the east of the Tokyo metropolis lies the Chiba prefecture. Better known for its peanut production than its punk rock bands, the Chiba punk scene remains largely undocumented aside from a few demo tapes. A handful of bands like G-10, Kyojinbyo, The MARGAReTS, and the C&C may have received some attention, but the majority of the scene remains unknown even to the biggest maniacs in the Japanese punk collector scumpit!

The previous entries in the Bloodstains series only gave you a sample of these cult classics, but in this volume, we’re not holding back, we’re giving you the chance to get your greasy collector mitts on the full recordings of these 5 Chiba punk rock bands:

Noisy Tape Recorders - Noisy Tape Recorders CD (PSCDR022)

To coincide with the release of the Bloodstains Across Chiba CD we are also restocking the Noisy Tape Recorders CD which was originally released in 2023 in a limited pressing of 100 copies.

Noisy Tape Recorders are a band whose name I had seen on flyers alongside bands like The MARGAReTS, the C&C, Chop, and Shock from the early-to-mid 90’s but I had never heard them.

You, the bassist of G-3 PUNX sent me their 2 tapes and I loved what I heard! Not quite the noisy sound the name would lead you to believe, the band played a choppy and angular sounding 70’s punk with a dose of hardcore that reminded me of Shock. Think later Swankys, or Slicks meets The Stalin or even early Mad Capsule Markets.

This CD features their 2 studio tapes which have been mastered for CD at Studio Distortion Party and features 12 tracks.

Both CDs will be available from the Private Scandal shop in late November.
