The Manks - Last New Wave Hero!!!!!!! CD (PSCDR037)
The Manks are yet another under-the-radar Chiba Punk band. They came a couple of years after the first wave of bands like the C&C and Visible Fucker, and carried on that tradition of pure ‘77 style punk rock while the older participants in the scene incorporated more rock and roll and garage influences.
This CD compiles their tracks from the Dynamite Vagina compilation CD (Antique Records) and the best tracks from their demo tapes to make the ultimate Manks release.
Members went on to The Plasters, The Spit, and are now active in SPIT-tn, who continue the tradition of old-school Chiba Punk.

In 2003 Chiba Punk band NOT, led by Hidde (the C&C), set out to create their own unique sound.
Taking inspiration from the scene around them, as well as the speedier Alternative Tentacles bands like The Crucifucks and the more contemporary Rip Off Records bands they created a punk rock-meets-hardcore-meets-garage hybrid sound.
This CD contains their 9-track album and their 4-track demo (engineered by Kengo from the C&C) as bonus tracks and is housed in a reversible sleeve, so you can choose which artwork you’d like to display on your shelf!
The band are back and will play their first gig in 19 years (!!!) in January with a new drummer, Kotax (ex.Expose, Planaria, sexurge).
